What is my best option for keeping book ‘followers’ involved until an initial publisher is secured: by way of using Option Solving?

My campaign to secure book “followers” continues with current build-up-the-numbers strategy. Since it’s taking time to secure a publisher, the question comes on how to keep existing followers “warm” and gain their assist for additional ones until a publisher comes through. With limited funds, it’s not possible to buy #s or buy support through high profile campaigns. Consequently it’s appropriate to revisit this issue once more, while things continue to evolve.

So now your editor now poses the appropriate question, which is as follows: “What is my best option for keeping book ‘followers’ involved until a publisher is secured; considering 1) likely to be a lengthy process, 2) keeping Literary Agent committed, 3) bringing sufficient creativity to the party, and 4) book timing is perfect in post-pandemic world?” It is appropriate for him to stick with only four considerations to reduce the complexity of any eventual decision – when the ultimate decision moment arrives – despite there being other possibilities out there.

He then set about creating two fresh appropriate yin and yang “bookends”,as these would help keep his intuitive minds focused against mental distractions. Bookends such as these are vital for preventing our fertile intuitive minds from wandering and losing concentration. We are mostly unaware of how powerfully valuable but foot-loose our intuition can be unless we can keep it properly focused on such occasions.

His two most immediate bookends that came to mind were: “Let natural forces take over” Too happenstance for circumstances;and “Bring in outside money” Could be a long shot and take time.  You will note the italicized detractors associated with these least likely options, which therefore put these out of consideration. Even so, these bookends will now nudge his intuitive thinking into high gear to find more promising options – see ourLatest Worked Example.

Progress so far then demanded that he come up with at least five new realistic options, although he ultimately may came up with six after additional thought. He would then be in a position to pursue emotional distancing, which is a form of objective thinking, before making his optimum choice sometime after that …perhaps after 2 hours, later in that day, or first thing the following morning. You can replace his proposed options with any of your own.

While they are all quite interesting, your editor was now initially particularly drawn to – Option D: Set-up post-summer “Follow” campaign with existing followers- Ken? The pictograph now offered some other potential optimum alternatives for early consideration.Your editor can then consider pursuing these other options as time moves on.
