What is my best option for continuing to enlist Ken’s – Literary Agent – optimum assist: by way of using Option Solving?

It is important for me to continue enlisting maximum assist from my Literary Agent in order to get my book published. Time, significantly interrupted by Covid, has been stretched significantly. Maintaining his goodwill is of vital importance. I don’t have additional resources that I can throw at him to buy his support. The question is therefore: What is my optimum approach to enlist his continued support?

After certain deliberation the appropriate initial question appeared to be as follows: “What is my best option for continuing to enlist Ken’s – Literary Agent – optimum assist; considering 1) Covid disrupted whole process with ultra wary publishers, 2) he has many other fish to fry, 3) enthusiasm has naturally waned over time, and 4) am challenging him to go-to-bat once more?” It is appropriate for me to stick with only four considerations to reduce the complexity of any eventual decision – when the ultimate decision moment arrives – despite there being other possibilities out there.

I then set about creating two fresh appropriate yin and yang “bookends”,as these would help keep my intuitive mind focused against other mental distractions. Bookends such as these are vital for preventing our fertile intuitive minds from wandering and losing concentration. We are mostly unaware of how powerfully valuable but foot-loose our intuition can be unless we can keep it properly focused on such occasions.

My two most immediate bookends that came to mind were: “Leave it in his hands” Too happenstance for circumstances;and “Renew whole cycle” Could be a long shot and don’t have resources.  You will note the italicized detractors associated with these least likely options, which therefore put these out of consideration. Even so, these bookends will now nudge my intuitive thinking into high gear to find more promising options – see ourLatest Worked Example.

Progress so far then demanded that I come up with at least five new realistic options, although I may ultimately come up with six after additional thought. I would then be in a position to pursue emotional distancing, which is a form of objective thinking, before making my optimum choice sometime after that …perhaps after 2 hours, later in that day, or first thing the following morning. You can replace my proposed options with any of your own.

While they are all quite interesting, I was now initially particularly intrigued by – Option A: Seek a phone discussion to review options. The pictograph now offered some other potential optimum alternatives for early consideration.I can now consider pursuing these other options over time.
